Susan Slotkis is an interior designer, educator, author and CEU approved speaker. She began her interior design firm in 1988 concentrating on residential spaces with a focus on client involvement in the process, an approach that stems from her education and experience in social services. Her book Foundations of Interior Design, now in its 2nd edition, is used by college students here and abroad as well as design professionals. As an industry expert she contributes to blogs and publications and remains an active member of professional organizations. She teaches courses on various topics of design, such as color, design styles, accessories, trends and business practices to a wide audience of future designers, current practitioners and lay persons. She is an adjunct of F.I.T. and NYU in NYC.
